6.3 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of FinVestPro's assets, your personal information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. 6.4 With Your Consent

6.5 Aggregated / De-identified Data

7.1 What We Use

FinVestPro uses browser-based storage technologies including cookies and localStorage to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and ensure platform security. Specifically:

  • Session Storage: Used to maintain your logged-in session and dashboard state during an active session. This data is cleared when you close your browser tab.
  • Local Storage: Used to persist user account data and investment records between sessions for the functioning of the platform. This data remains until manually cleared or the account is closed.
  • Analytics Cookies: We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns. These do not track you across third-party websites.

7.2 Cookie Consent

By using the FinVestPro platform, you consent to the use of the storage technologies described above. Certain storage is strictly necessary for the platform to function; you cannot opt out of these without ceasing to use the Services. You may opt out of analytics cookies through your browser settings.

7.3 Third-Party Tracking

We do not permit third-party advertisers to set tracking cookies on the FinVestPro platform. Any third-party scripts on our platform (such as analytics tools or fonts) are governed by the privacy policies of those respective services.

7.4 Do Not Track

Our platform does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. We will revisit this position as industry standards for DNT develop.

8. Data Retention

  • Account Information: Retained for the duration of your account and for a minimum of 5 years following account closure, as required by US financial regulations;
  • KYC Documentation: Retained for a minimum of 5 years from the date of collection or the date of the last transaction, whichever is later, in compliance with BSA requirements;
  • Transaction Records: Retained for a minimum of 5 years as required by applicable financial recordkeeping regulations;
  • Suspicious Activity Reports: Retained for a minimum of 5 years from the date of filing;
  • Communications and Support Records: Retained for 3 years following the close of the relevant matter;
  • Technical / Log Data: Retained for up to 12 months for security monitoring purposes.

When retention periods expire, we securely delete or anonymize your data unless a longer retention period is required by law or necessary to resolve an outstanding dispute or legal claim.

FinVestPro implements a comprehensive set of technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction:

We collect this information directly from you, automatically through your use of our platform, and from third-party identity verification and AML screening providers, as described in Section 3.

12.4 Sale or Sharing of Personal Information

FinVestPro does not sell your personal information to third parties. FinVestPro does not share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. You therefore have the right to opt out of sale/sharing, though we do not engage in these activities.

As a California resident, you have the right to:

You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf, subject to our verification procedures.

12.7 Shine the Light

California residents may also request information about our disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes under California's "Shine the Light" law. FinVestPro does not disclose personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes without your consent.

13. Children's Privacy

The FinVestPro Services are not intended for, directed at, or available to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a minor, we will take immediate steps to delete that information and close the associated account.

Our platform complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and we have no intent to market financial services to individuals under the age of majority.
